Tree Trimming & Pruning Services

Tree Care

Pruning:

Pruning or trimming is a key factor in maintaining and optimizing the health of trees in an urban setting. Besides keeping your trees healthy and beautiful, Arborway Tree Care’s services can help the structural integrity of your trees, which can be critical for safety and liability issues. Our team of Certified Arborists will evaluate your tree condition and determine if Pruning, Cabling, or Plant Health Care is needed. We can also ascertain if it is time to remove a tree that is dead to ensure the safety of local people and property.

Pruning is the removal of dead, dying, diseased and conflicting limbs to improve overall tree health and safety. The industry-developed A-300 standard is our guide and outlines best practices for pruning and care. Each variety of plant has different needs and requires specific techniques, and done properly, will result in a landscape that adds beauty and value to your property.

Types of pruning

  • Structural pruning - Pruning to promote a sustainable trunk and branch arrangement.
  • Crown cleaning - Removal of hazardous deadwood for safety and to improve health.
  • Shaping - Pruning for aesthetic appearance.
  • Reduction pruning - Reducing end-weight to prevent storm related damage.
  • House clearance - Trees and people need to compromise.
  • Restoration pruning - Pruning to redevelop structure, form, and appearance of severely pruned, vandalized, or damaged trees.

Removals:

Cut down and remove hazardous or dead trees. All trees will be removed with the lowest impact to your property while maintaining the highest level of safety using the most current techniques performed by;

  • Climbing & Rigging – Using advanced teqniques to safely lower and rig down the tree with ropes in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Crane Removal – Use of a crane to remove hazardous trees or to remove trees with minimal impact to the understory and landscape below.
  • Tracked Lift – We use a tracked machine that fits through a 36” gate called Easy Lift UP70-36AJ. This allows us to rig down extremely hazardous trees with reduced risk to our tree climbers. It also gives us the ability to be more efficient while piecing the tree down in more manageably sized pieces.

Stump Removal

Stump removal can seem like a pretty difficult process, and it can feel like you're fighting a losing battle if you tackle it yourself.

Our expert professionals can turn your stump removal experience around in an instant, and are glad to get your stump taken care of once and for all - quickly, efficiently and safely. A stump in your yard takes up plenty of otherwise usable space and creates an eyesore that can easily detract from the beauty of your property.

Cabling & Bracing:

Give structural support to weakened tree parts using an assortment of dynamic and static cable, rods and support braces. Cables are installed within the canopy of the tree and often can't be seen from the ground. It is important to have a certified arborist install a cabling system to the A300 Standards for cabling in order to get the proper protection.

  • Steel cable - Steel cables have a longer life span, are not flexible and very difficult to see
  • Bracing - Use of steel rod(s) in limbs or leaders to provide support for a junction or crotch. They can be used to reinforce weak crotches. Bracing is usually done in conjunction with cabling.

24 Hour Emergency Storm Service:

Storms tend to strike at the most inopportune times. When a large tree or branch comes down on your property, you want fast, qualified service. Arborway Tree Care is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to handle your emergency storm damage. Our field arborists will prune and remove the debris, stabilize the tree and work to ensure the tree’s full recovery from damage.
